Hunting in Northern Colorado? Beaver Meadows Resort Ranch, a year round Destination Resort, borders the 300,000 acre Roosevelt National Forest. Here we are in the heart of Deer, Elk, Moose, and Bear Country, a real hunter’s paradise. When you stay with us on our 480 acre ranch, arrangements may be made for easy private property access to the Roosevelt National Forest.
Centrally located in the middle of Big Game Country, we know the country and where the deer, elk and other game are likely to be. Beaver Meadows Resort Ranch Resides in Unit 8 and 5 miles west of Unit 191. Elk and Deer migrate through our Ranch into Unit 191, especially during periods of heavy snowfall.

We recommend the following maps: USGS Map, Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forest Map and National Geographic Topo Map #111 for the Red Feather Lakes and Glendevey area. On these maps, we’re often referred to as the Painted Post Ranch (our name from the 1950s and 1970s). And, we’re adjacent to the Deadman area.
We offer a variety of accommodations for hunters, including secluded camper cabins and private camps. Or check into a condo or cabin for a steaming hot shower, soft bed, wifi and fireside flatscreen tv.

Our Restaurant is located in a historic 1940’s log cabin featuring a multilevel picnic deck. Feed the gang a hearty cowboy style breakfast; order a pizza to enjoy at the condo or relax and unwind with an intimate dinner reservation and bottle of wine.
Our intimate Pub is a perfect place to warm up after a fun filled day in the snow, enjoy hot appetizers with your favorite libation. Our bonfire area is within our liquor license area so guests are more than welcome to enjoy their drinks on the grounds.
Private Land Hunting
Beaver Meadows Resort Ranch offers limited Private Land Hunting by Reservation Only. Beaver Meadows Resort Ranch’s Private Lands are major migratory routes for Unit 8’s National Forest. These areas can be high traffic; especially during late Seasons when periods of heavy snowfall push the Deer & Elk down the mountain.
