Come and explore all of our different Nordic and Skate Skiing trails, which are protected from the wind by the heavy timber. There are different loops for every skill level.
The activity pass for Nordic Skiing only is $15 and children under 4 years old are free. A pass that includes tubing and ice skating is $25.
The beginner trail is approximately one mile long and is called "North Fork Trail." It leaves from the Homestead Cabin on a nice, gentle incline.
The loop which is designated for intermediate skiers leaves the Base Area where the Homestead Cabin is located. The loop encompasses the North Fork Trail for about 2 miles, goes across Powderhorn to Cabin Creek for about 1 mile, then down Cabin Creek to North Fork for approximately 3/4 of a mile. Cabin Creek is an intermediate trail and can be fast on the downhill run. At Mid-Way, you may go up Cabin Creek another 3/4 mile.
For advanced skiers, we offer the back country trail loop by taking North Fork up to Frontier for about 2 miles, then Frontier to Pearl Creek, which is about 2.5 miles, and finishing by going down to North Fork to complete the loop. This is a long loop, so you would be well advised to have water and snacks with you, as well as matches for starting a warming fire if needed.
All trails are marked as follows: Beginner=blue flagging, Intermediate=green flagging, Advanced=red flagging.
Cross Country Skiing is available seven days a week, from 9:30am to 4pm
