Snow Shoeing For hundreds, perhaps thousands of years, people have used show shoes out of necessity to hunt, travel and socialize. Snow shoeing has been rediscovered and is an excellent winter activity for the whole family on your next Winter Family Vacation! Red Feather Snow Shoe's technology has made equipment lighter and burden free. Beaver Meadows Resort Ranch has detailed routes that allow you to explore the backwoods of Colorado. Keep your feet dry and traverse your way across the meadow, through aspen grooves on an intimate journey between you and nature. Beaver Meadows Resort Ranch rents Red Feather Snow Shoes for the weekend enthusiast or the entire family. Access to our snow shoe trails requires a Beaver Meadows Resort Ranch All-Activity Pass or you may choose to do snow shoeing only with our 'ALL NEW' Snow Shoe Pass. We dedicate one side of our hourglass shaped ponds just for the
winter angler. In addition to the natural habitat of brown and brook
trout, we stock rainbow trout annually. Bring your
auger and drill a few holes to watch for the day. Please be advised that
we no longer rent augers or ice fishing equipment. Take
your thermos into our Ranch House Restaurant & Lounge and we'll fill it with hot chocolate or coffee
for a small fee. At the
end of the day, warm up to a bowl of hot chili and tell your tall tails of the
one that got away. We offer ice fishing SEVEN DAYS PER WEEK, from 9:30am
to 4:00pm. There are also five public lakes within a fifteen minute
drive of Beaver Meadows Resort Ranch. Fishing Regulations - Colorado State requires fishing licenses, even on private land. The state rules, given out with the license, must be followed. Other rules may be imposed. Beaver Meadows Resort Ranch enforces a four fish per day limit. Any four fish caught may be kept for the fee of $.30 per inch. The rest must be returned to the stream unless they are injured. Injured fish must be kept and paid for. Only barbless hooks are allowed. Activity Pass Rates Trying to plan your upcoming Winter Family Vacation or just looking for something to do this winter season? Our Colorado winter resort offers snow shoeing, nordic skiing, ice skating and snow tubing(we also offer ice fishing, winter horseback riding and horse drawn sleigh rides!). Snow tubing, ice skating, snow shoeing and cross country skiing are available daily from 9:30am to 4pm. The snow tubing lift operates on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30am to 4pm. Guests who wish to snow tube on weekdays may walk back up the hill. TUBING LIFT: CLOSED FOR SEASON
